Pioneer QX-949A Lighted Dial Pointer Replacement

Hi All,
I am new to the boards. I join because I was given a pioneer 949A. I had it refurbished, by a professional. I know these arn't rated the best of the quads, but man are they beautiful, especially at night in a dark room. However, I was told, as I haven't yet picked it from the restorer, the the only light not working is the lighted dial pointer and that it is not serviceable. Which is a bummer because it is one of the nicest parts of this receiver. Does anyone know if this is a serviceable part? Thanks
