Anybody know about the Planar xr 4120 reciver. It has cd-4,sq and matrix settings.

Planar was a supposedly "hi end" line of Electrohome, in the Pioneer Elite genre. I also seem to remember that they made some quad stuff for the now-defunct Muntz chain of car stereo stores. Not terribly sought-after, and mainly for the Canadian market. When I was a teenager, I had a part time job at a Muntz Centre so I have a bit of experience with it. Mike.
