Q8 running speed

I find my Q8's play at a faster speed then the same recodings on vinyl. Does anyone else find this to be true?

Assuming your player has a DC motor. A lot had AC motors.

I've looked in the manual, and there is no speed control. How about a different belt then the one I'm using?

My Pioneer 8track deck has it... but another one not - and since it was a 110 v 60Hz player for USA market i had to change the motor.

Sounds like you're saying you had a speed problem and the only way to change it was a new motor?

Anyone experiment with belts as a possible solution?

I had to change it anyway, since europe is 220v 50Hz; if it was only a voltage problem i could had used a transformer, but the motor was a AC syncronous one, specific for 60Hz, so no way to make it work here.
