Well crap, this is just too frickin' sad. Mojo was a one-of-a-kind madman musician. Saw him live once in the late eighties with his band the Toadliquors, and he was every bit as wild and crazed as I'd hoped for.

I don't think he would want to rest in peace. So long Mojo. You'll be sorely missed.

I had an album by Mojo Nixon & Skid Roper, it was awesome.

Sad news.

What an obituary though:

“Mojo Nixon was full-tilt, wide-open rock hard, root hog, corner on two wheels + on fire… Passing after a blazing show, a raging night, closing the bar, taking no prisoners + a good breakfast with bandmates and friends. A cardiac event on the Outlaw Country Cruise is about right… & that’s just how he did it. Mojo has left the building."

I should be so lucky.
