Ok, This may be a dumb question , but on the 2020, when no buttons are pushed, I still get sound from all 4 speakers. What mode does the 2020 default to with no function buttons selected? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

I would think carlane3, that it would 'default' to the last function button depressed, merely because nothing would have acted to disconnect it. If its button were just 'popped' out, its switching would still likely be left in the last place it was positioned. I have a 2010 (almost identical to the 2020), and I am sure that is how mine works. Mike.

Sounds like a good concept to me. Thanks Mike:) But to maybe clarify what I said earlier...When no button is pressed to the in (on ) position, meaning no mode, ( sq, rm 2-4 etc,) has been selected and all are in the out, or off position, I still get 4 channels of sound. Is this perhaps what you said mike, or is it a "double Stereo" mode that it goes into when no mode is actually selected? Sorry for not explaining further before.

But even if no button is NOW physically pushed in, one was recently; so even if the plastic silver part of that previous button is now popped back out, the internal switching is still engaged so it will no be switched out of the last listening mode. Mike.

Mike,

Since you have one of these , can you tell me if the 2-4 synthesizer position uses any logic in it's function , or is it a non-logic mode?

My guess is that it does not use logic. I haven't had it hooked up for a long time since I got my Tate, but it seems to me that it is some variant of the "RM" (QS) position, as the two positions do about the same thing. I sometimes used it in lieu of the SQ position on some LPs that pumped too much in the SQ Logic mode. Mike.

Thanks for all your input mike. One last thing...where can I find a copy of the user / service manuals for this thing?

I think I may have a copy around somewhere. I am in Canada, but if you want to pay for the postage and photocopies ... e-mail me. Mike.

Mike,

I just sent you an email from my personal mailbox. Thanks.
