This is an older DVD release now. Back when it was coming, I was so excited, as it was to have a new 5.1 mix. Boy it sucks big time. It is just "electronically reprocessed" from mono. They couldn't even bother splicing in stereo from the CD for the music? They don't even bother giving us a real mono track. Uggh. I hope Rhino revisits this release with the care it deserves. (or maybe they did). Its really pretty funny though, even better than Spinal Tap which it predates.

Dan in Spokane.

"The Rutles" is great! The music is really incredible, many of the songs stand on their own. "I Must Be in Love" could have been a Beatles hit, and "Cheese and Onions"? How cool.

Yes, the DVD sound is the pits, but the content is what shines. The CD, when it finds its way into my car, gets lots of plays.

A definate must for Beatle fans, esp old Beatle fans! :D

You may also seen the '15 minutes with Eric Idle' in the very same Sound & Vision issue we've been referring to.

Can't hardly wait for "Can't Buy Me Lunch".
