I've never seen one of these before. Looks interesting! The quad tape out is for what? Recording? Or are there really two different discrete inputs? What about the 4 different matrix settings? I don't believe that Tobisha ever made any units with logic. Quadnutz - are you out there with your endless stats? What's the story with this item? 12.5 per channel is great for a den/cabin add - on amp.

Hi Marc, database not as full for specs for Toshiba products as other makes, but i have a SB 404S integrated amp in my collection and for what it's worth it sounds good and displays a good "star" pattern on my scope! I don't believe there is any logic steering per-say in the Toshiba products matrixs',but i think they make good use of phaseing and variations in mixing and hi-frequency rolloff to create some of their matrix settings. Here are some specs i have found on the unit. The SC410S is a decoder/rear channel amp with 15 watts x 2(66 watts IHF) rms into 8 ohms @ .8 thd. It uses two IC's in the power output section and 4 FET's in the RM/SQ decoder section. Would probably be a nice unit to experiment around with if one can get it cheap($50-$75 range),sold new in '73-'74 for $240-$260 each year respectively.:) Hope this helps,Bill.

Oopps....I should clarify the prices, they are in canadian dollars. The unit sold for $170.USD, AND WAS SOLD FROM '73-'76.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/images/emoticons/embarassed.gif ALT="">
