USB surround device: Creative or Asus?

Need to help a guy for a surround-sound enabled laptop, win 8.1, no hdmi available, so usb is the only way.
Suggestion between Creative X-Fi Surround, Creative Omni Surround, Asus Xonar X5 or x7?

I'd go with Creative they tend to come with come software drivers.
