Someone mentioned The Doors earlier in the thread, is any of their material available? Afaik some of their music was released in quad?
There is the mentioned Best of The Doors which contains very good 70's quad mixes. There are more modern 5.1 mixes of all of their albums.

But what has not appeared so far as I know is a stronger collection of their big hits in surround quad or otherwise. Greatest Hits would be that collection of their most well known works and mixed to surround, quad or 5.1 - this would seem likely.

To Foraging Rhino:
Are there any vintage, unreleased Quad mixes we may not be aware of? Reason I ask is that a bunch of vintage, unreleased Quads have been put out on that new Sony RA360 format - many of these albums were completely unknown to the Quad community such as a Tanya Tucker album, a Harry Belafonte album, a Waylon Jennings and even an ELVIS title that had never been mentioned in old catalogs or even thought to have been mixed to Quad.

So, is there anything in the Warner archives that we might not know of? Like maybe from Cher? Climax Blues Band? Ike & Tina? T. Rex ??

Sabotage - nope.
Atlantic Crossing - possibly. Artist consent would be a "speed bump."
Energized - signs point to yes. R&R Outlaws - no.
Beach Boys - not ours.
With Everything I Feel - lost rights to Aretha's estate. The last 4 Atlantic albums reverted to her.
Eagles, Desperado - nope.
On The Border, One Of These Nights - confirmed. Serious artist consent concerns.
UNRELEASED QUADS ...are a sure fire seller!!
@ForagingRhino

Still quad sleuthing,
Fizzy

Now aside from the rumoured quad listings , there are likely a number of unknowns.

Steve , you have to surprise us here on what you uncover in the vault of the
"previously unknown quad mixes"!!!

Well , we're just dying to know...dying with delight.

Thanks for your efforts BTW . They are very much appreciated,, by all .

I've lost track of where Capricorn stands, as far as ownership, but a rumored unreleased quad of Captain Beyond would be a big big thing.
Also Rundgren's Initiation would be such an automatic buy I'd get extras to send to friends.
Looking forward to getting The Spinners and interested in the Mingus.

I just now looked for a quad mix of Burn and found nothing. Sorry!
Let me know what else I should look for, please!

I did find the quad master for J. Geils Band Bloodshot. Any interest?
As others have also replied...absolutely! "Bloodshot" might be their best rock 'n blues release before they became MTV darlings (and the quality of their music suffered as a result, IMO.) I would gladly upgrade from my Red Book CD to a Quadio.

Steve, another 5.1 remix that was announced back in the DVD~A days and never released: Madonna's Greatest Hits ......

Any chance it was completed?

and "In the Pocket"?

Smiley hearts for Miles of Aisles alone!
I’ve never heard it in quad so I’d want to know whether or not the mix was relegated to Joni and the band in the front speakers and the audience in the rears. Of course, I’d still buy it anyway because it’s Joni in quad!

Aside from that, the real big question here would be whether Rhino had access to Court and Spark and/or The Hissing of Summer Lawns.
