Well I have bought a ton of DVD-A's and I don't know anyone close by that is into hi-rez so there is no-one to pirate from. I was speaking of back-ups. If mobile does "take off" then I would want to protect my originals by leaving them at home and take others on the road.

Hi,

i have no legitimate reason at the moment to make a copy of the MLP section of a dvd-a as I have no equipment other than in my home, that will play it.

I do, however, Record to my harddrive and make car copies of the redbook layers of my sacds which work fine.

Using disc copier from Roxio will allow me to make copies of my DTS disks but i have not tried to take the DTS layer of of a dvd-a disc.
I don't think I can because my sound card will only play 48/24 dts which is on movies it will not play 96/24 wich is on audio only discs, so if the pc doesn't recognize it I'm SOL I think

Has anyone else?

Peter m.
