Larry was an old neighbor of mine until he moved out of state. I ran into him early afternoon near the Palatine train station when he was working PM drive. He looked a bit worse for the wear. "Uncle Lar have too much medicine last night?" "Yeah," he replied.

My Husband has a picture of Lar and him when Joe was 10.

A great guy. RIP

Man oh man. Lujack was a critical piece of my younger years. For me, he was my big radio celebrity. Made for radio voice.

After listening to the Songs of Freedom boxset for years I've gotten used to "natural mystic" following "exodus". I think it flows better.

I heard this album first though: I remember cranking it up as a kid through my parents stereo.

Surprised they didn't use the title song for track 1. And all that killer bass might've been better served on the outside of the record, instead of the last cut on side 1?

I'd love to hear a 45. The 12" single is what's on Songs of Freedom.
