I'm listening right now about 35 minutes and I can tell you, that it is more front-heavy.
The rears are used to create an open sounding mix.
It is open sounding but a little too conservative.
If you want an immersive surround experience - you will be dissapointed.
But I like it, and I am a big fan of immersive surround.
It is a good release and the accoustic songs are really nice.
Definately worth to have it and not a Squackett-wise desaster.
If I had to vote right now I would give it a solid 7.
But have to listen to it more.
There are moments where is a big surround feeling and often not.
Strange that they had no surround-mix-level throughout the album.
The songs differ in using the rears.
5.1 Mixed by Roger King.. did he do Squackett?
BD authoring by Ray Shulman? Upto the standard of GG's Power & Glory?
Yep.
oh fudge..
Hey, it's really not that bad.
Wait and judge for yourself.
I've heard many worse titles.
Does anyone know if the Blu-ray set is billed as a Limited Edition?
If not I'll cancel my Amazon pre-order and take my chances on getting it cheaper down the line..
I didn't read anything that it is limited.
But I see no reason to cancel it.
I wonder if Mr.Hackett knows Mr.Wilkes..? He could get him to do his 5.1 mixing in future!
