Well, I went for the deluxe despite the high shipping - have all the other ones so it's hard to resist dammit. Agree about the 7" disc - pretty useless to me, and I hope there's some download code or something to get it in a format I can actually play.

I'm not sure about the deluxe edition. I have all the others, so for completeness sake I'd like to own it. But, it is pricey.

If I purchase in GBP, it comes to CDN$130.28. If I pay in USD, it comes to CDN$138.17. Expensive either way, but interesting that it is cheaper to pay in GBP.

Some additional infos

To The Bone is due to be released on 18th August but is available now to pre-order in a variety of formats, including a special deluxe hard back 120 page book edition, which includes an exclusive full length CD of demos and unused songs, and a one-sided 7 inch vinyl single of a bonus instrumental song from the album sessions. Neither of these will be available anywhere else.

My fifth record is in many ways inspired by the hugely ambitious progressive pop records that I loved in my youth (think Peter Gabriel’s So, Kate Bush’s Hounds of Love, Talk Talk’s Colour of Spring and Tears for Fears’ Seeds of Love). Lyrically, the album’s eleven tracks veer from the paranoid chaos of the current era in which truth can apparently be a flexible notion, observations of the everyday lives of refugees, terrorists and religious fundamentalists, and a welcome shot of some of the most joyous wide-eyed escapism I’ve created in my career so far. Something for all the family!

Agree with this. a bit silly for Mr Hi Res to add a vinyl only song.

If you were a teenager in the eighties in France, the title of the 7" single - Antisocial - would bring you memories !

:yikes

There is a trick to reduce this insanely expensive delivery: if you put more than one book in the cart, delivery only increases by 5$ for every extra item.:smokin So this may be a good option for a group buy.

The deluxe website says that the dvd is exclusive to the box. Good to see it is not, as dvd is still the only option for a lot of people.

No, the deluxe website is correct. The DVD is exclusive to the box.
Burning Shed says that the format is DVD/Blu-Ray so they can group it with all DVDs and Blu-Rays on their site:
https://burningshed.com/dvd_bluray

Yes I think you're correct. On the website it describes it as blu ray version.

It's strange that none of the editions are available to preorder through Headphone Dust.
I would much rather preorder the deluxe edition through Headphone Dust than the Universal site.
That shipping markup is just ridiculous…

I bought mine from the official Steven Wilson site i.e. Universal Music UK as he's changed labels. So I got the Box Set £50(US$64.68) + £6.95(US$8.99) courier charge, so for once compared to here in the UK the prices in North America seem very high.

Strangely, shipping cost to Spain went down to 18€ right now from the 25€ in the morning. Maybe someone is listening to our complaints...

You'd hope sanity would prevail and you can buy this in shops on a standard BluRay edition like all the others?
I'm passing on this unless this happens
I refuse to pay ridiculous postage costs 'ever'

Looks to be £5.72 shipping to Oz for the bluray.
