Got an E-Mail from Amazon.ca saying my copy of the deluxe Snowhead box shipped and the price was honored. Hope it is in fact, the right product.
Apparently, somebody said on the Steve Hoffman forum that the 5.1 mix on the DVD is exactly the same as the one released on the 2004 SACD. If that is 100% true, then I'm glad I passed on this box set, especially since that mix wasn't that great IMO anyway.
All of the CD content is available for streaming on Spotify as well.

Has anyone here had a chance to compare the 5.1 from this set to the sacd?
So, it is not the same mix as the SACD? Is there no DVD-Audio but only DTS?Yes, IMO SACD is better. The DTS has been boosted in all channels to the point of brickwalling the front channels and is lacking in detail to my ears.

I bought this for the high-resolution stereo mix. Has anyone compared this to the stereo mix on the SACD? Mostly what I am looking for is more bass (like the old MFSL CD).

Based on the 5.1 reviews, mine remains sealed. Anyone listen to the LP yet? Is it 180 gm? Even for $34 Canadian delivered, it isn't a good value if I won't listen to it. I guess the live tracks might be fun...
