Can I just ask ...what in THE hell anyone sees in this film?

I saw it in a Hollywood theater at 19.
What’s your excuse?

The director and his star Joe Spinell were there. Joe was telling me proudly about all the clever black humor in it. I, of course, only cared about the Dolby Stereo and asked director Lustig why it was so unstable. He very nicely explained to this poor ignorant kid (the one who had already been a quaddie for three years) how surround sound worked.

Back in the late 80's or was it early 90's, I had the pleasure of hosting Joe Spinell as an overnight house guest while he was filming this godawful film at our 150+ year old Victorian Funeral Home. If you really want so see BAD then watch this 'HORROR.' He woke up at 7 AM poured himself a glass of vodka from my freezer and went to work. Two months later, Joe was dead. And yes, he told me he 'screwed' Marilyn Monroe!

Maniac was released summer 1980.
Undertaker came out November 1988.
I never even heard of that one and I was in the rare film business.

The Undertaker wasn't released until a few years ago [November 2016] due to financial difficulty in finishing post production. It's a mess, nonetheless ..... I was filming behind the scenes with my Hi8 camera and Spinell told me that my footage was better than the actual film rushes. I was actually good at shooting cinema verite but when I saw this mess of a film......I'd have to agree with Joe, my footage was more engaging.

For a NO budget film, I have to say the Undertaker doesn't look half bad on BD~V but as a film it's a disaster. And in the extras [yes, there are bonus features] the producer says everyone was paid off in full ....... hold on there ..... you screwed my father who gave you permission to use our funeral home for two days and you were there for almost 5 and you ran up an electricity bill which was far more than you paid him.

Watched No one Cries in Baseball. Wow if the other 5 are as good as this one we are in for a real treat. All I can say is incredible.

According to the rave reviews on both blu~ray.com and highdefdigest .... they're ALL home runs. One poster even stated that he got the box set for $80 from Target during one of their sales ....... list is $165! Should have my set by next week [$101 with tax/s/h].

Well, BITE my Neck🧛‍♂️...just received my 5 disc BD~V TWILIGHT SAGA from AmazonUS, brand NEW, for a paltry $5.99.

That’s almost as good as Dollar Tree.
(Where I buy most BD’s now.)

Wish we had a Dollar Tree in the area. Any UHD4K discs show up yet? During Black Friday sales, Amazon does blow out some choice UHD4K boxsets which translates into $5 or $6 per disc in set and individual 4K titles for under $8.
