Genesis Live

Was astonished and how discrete the 1973 Genesis Live album sounds through Vario-matrix! Most live LP's give a bit of the crowd noise & reverb in the rears, but this is quite a different animal. "Musical Box" puts Mike Rutherford's 12 string at right rear, keyboards left rear and vocals/lead guitar in front. "The Knife" has Hackett's guitar at right rear where it suddenly jumps to the front at one point and then back. Quite amazing for a live album! I don't believe this album will be included in the next 5.1 Genesis box, so this will make a nice companion.

This was the British LP. Actually I just ordered the remastered CD to see if the mix is the same. Also because I've owned 3 different vinyl copies of this and was never satisfied with the pressing qualities. Too much surface noise in quiet areas. I'll report back after a listen to the CD version.
