Yes that's correct. In fact if you are one of the idiots that like karaoke, using the left and right of the 5.1 outputs is a very effective voice remover.
As Overture states it is designed for the standards Involve/ QS formats. For the QQ special SQ unit we actually use the QS decoded center as it is a very close approximation, we needed additional hardware to do a full changeover but the differences are very minimal.

WOW! That's very cool, as I didn't realize the SM had a true center out. When when using the 5.1 outputs, does this mean the center channel information is removed from the left and right front channels?
