Well, suddenly I was listening in my head to The Beatles "I'll Be Back". Don't know what triggered it, but it was buried in there some where.

Anyway, as it played out, it segued into "Drive My Car" and then I realized I was playing in my head the "Stars on 45" LP version of the Beatles melody.

WTF!! What a trip. I then, of course, had to dig out the CD and listen to the whole thing. FOR SHAME! :)

I thought that you would realize...but, I got a big surprise.

At work today and walked by a conversation and someone said "That's Sad But True". Metallica's Sad But True started playing in my head and continually popped up the rest of the day. Couple of days ago it was Billy Preston's Will It Go Round In Circles. Have no idea where that one came from but it lasted most of the day only to be replaced by Curtis Mayfield's Pusherman. I wish I knew where these come from.

Summer Soldier - Brave Belt w/CF Turner: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coWgKJBF-8w
Another Way Out - Brave Belt w/Chad Allen (original Guess Who vocalist): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xi-vUShHBXk

Both tracks off the excellent Brave Belt II: brave_belt_ii.jpg

Brave Belt is the predecessor of Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Personnel: Randy Bachman, CF Turner, Chad Allen & Rob Bachman. Allen didn't like the hard-edge of the Turner songs. He was replaced by Tim Bachman and the name changed to BTO for the next release.

YOU GOTTA HEAR THIS:
What a Wonderful Thing We Have - The Fabulous Rhinestones w/Marty Grebb (Buckinghams), Harvey Brooks (Electric Flag) & Kal David (Illinois Speed Press.) Billboard #78 in '72. This should have been a BIG hit. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xij4BUAhzRs

"You must think Santa Clause weird. He has long hair and a beard. Giving his presents for free"
"Let's get Santa Clause, cause: Santa Clause has a red beard, he's a communist, and a beard and long hair, must be a pacifist. What's in the pipe he's smoking? Mr. Clause sneaks in your house at night, he must be a dope fiend, to put you uptight...."

Anyone else know this one? It's pretty old - like me. :)

Don't know why I got this in my head..."Livin' in the plastic age...(unga, unga , unga, unga)...looking only 'alf my 'ige"....

The Lords of the New Church are undergoing a bit of a revival for me these days.
Currently spinning "The Method To Our Madness" CD - criminally under rated at the time, this would make a cracking 5.1 release.

Rock And Roll All Night - Kiss

The studio version oddly enough. I like the studio version sometimes for it's very deliberate playing compared to live.

The one that usually gets stuck in my head is "Firehouse" ("Alive" version)
