Yes.

"Space Oddity" 360 mix bounces around the countdown (mainly on the rear part in my room). Also it has more active channels/speakers than the rest of tracks.
"Unwashed And Somewhat Slightly Dazed" 360 mix is a little bad for me. It looks like "all channels stereo" with just 5.1 speakers.
And all the rest of tracks 360 mixes, although sound immersive, they look like a 4.0 transcription, with only that 4 speakers active.

The Atmos mix is different... and perhaps much better for me as I can use more speakers. Specially the Wides in my 9.1.4. This Atmos mix use a lot the wides with the acoustic rhythm guitar and part of the vocals imaging.

I like a lot how the vocals is mixed in Atmos. Some front, but others front/height using mainly the fronts, wides and Top Front speakers, all for the Bowie voice. Also the central speaker contains vocals, but the whole vocals sound spread around the room, even with some echoes in the surround and back surround speakers.

In other tracks, like "Wild Eyed Boy From Freecloud" Atmos, the main vocals are only in the Wides and Surround speakers, giving an imersive envelope of vocals but in a location more behind and not so frontal.

As I am retired, and like to mess around, I have plot in the following picture the Locations of the “Space Oddity” Countdown of the 360RA mix.

The countdown starts (“ten”) at Surround Right, circles around the room, but from the floor side/rear to the ceiling Top Front right. The circle plotted tries to show it.

The locations are aprox. as some of them are imaged with several speakers.

It is interesting that the final “Lift Off” (near the Central speaker) is then repeated (echoes) going up to the tops/heights.

Atmos mix is also good, but the whole countdown is “tied” to the Surround Back Left. The first minute of the song, should be much more interesting in the 360RA mix. It's really a pity that there isn't a hdmi-player-decoder for 360RA for AVRs yet.

Hey, how are you playing the 360RA mix?

What puzzles me is that someone took the effort and time to create two different mixes for Space Oddity, for example

That makes me think that the target consumer for 360RA (only with headsets) is different as other consumers of Dolby Atmos with full Home Theater speakers.

Perhaps the 360RA mix is intended to be more efective for the headsets?

In any case we have two different mixes for enjoy (when we can completely enjoy the 360RA). This diversification can benefit us

Actually, at first I've thought they're a generation or two older :)
And this EP ain't too bad either:

Plus a live album Live at Lee's (2022) in Atmos:

The live recording really leverages ATMOS. IVE not heard a live ATMOS mix that sounds like this. It’s excellent, and the songs and performance are really good.

https://music.apple.com/us/album/12th-of-june/1615477174Just auditioned this one in 7.1.4 - I'm hearing mainly reverb in the heights, but lots of discrete elements in all seven floor channels. Drums & bass upfront, vocals in the center, guitars in the side surrounds, and horns/strings in the rears. Backing vocals sometimes use both the side and rear pairs. The album itself is interesting, side one seems to be jazz standards (with a full horn section!) while side two is acoustic folk/country more in the vein of Joshua Judges Ruth. I'd definitely get behind an SDE Blu-Ray release!

Oh man, that Good Vibrations mix is great. Can’t wait for the whole thing.

Also, if you’ve never seen it; check out the film Love and Mercy. The best music biopic ever made because it’s so untraditional. It focuses JUST on Pet Sounds/SMiLE and the Eugene Landy years. I’ll never not hear the powerfully fierce cello in GV thanks to the extended scene focusing on it.
