pretty sure its real, even though there's a fair amount of ambience outside the Front L&R channels there's discrete stuff popping up elsewhere too, feels appropriate for the material.

Had a great catch-up last night, cherry-picking through my bloated library. Listened to ARETHA 30 Greatest (some of which was stereo),Natalie Merchant, Fleetwood Mac Mirage, Coldplay Rush of Blood…, all of which sounded great in 5.1. Would have to say that Mirage won the night - really sounded amazing.

A few Talking Heads albums are up, most however are only stereo, typical Apple stuff up. Listening to Talking Heads 77 at the moment, sounds good in 5.1

These are really good mixes, my height meters was in the red all the time. These Tom Petty mixes are top of the crop, I really miss him. RIP
i'm kinda hopeful about Talking Heads because its an entire album dropping in Atmos in one go, so it feels more likely to be genuine Atmos than the ones that drip feed song by song, track by track, day by day, in fake Atmos, until finally you have one complete total heap of shit fake Atmos album (i'm looking at you, "Christopher Cross"

My Marantz AVR is outputting it in 5.1, sadly I don't have an Atmos speaker setup.
