How about this one then? Katatonia - Sky Void of Stars wooden box with pendant and badge. Limited to 700. CD & Blu-ray with Dolby Atmos surround mix. The Atmos is a lot more satisfying to my ears than the Riverside, much more going on all around, could just be the style of music.

That looks SWEET! Glad to read about the Atmos action. When i saw the price of this, i thought i would wait to read reviews–sold out! Dammit! This has happened to me before! Well, it's not as if i don't have a lifetime of listening accumulated. But that pendant does look cool. Hmm, i guess i have enough pendants, too! Ima go play with my Pink Floyd marbles!

Sometimes I feel like something different, this isn’t my favourite album or type of music but by god it gives my rear speakers the best workout they’ve ever had
I had no idea JMJ had any multichannel releases! This is awesome. Thank you!

Jazzheads, even casual jazz fans: you gotta get this! Franco Ambrosetti, Nora (enja, November 2022).

Sometimes "lush" is the only word that fits. Ambrosetti is a veteran Swiss-Italian trumpeter & flugelhornist who deserves to be better known on this side of the pond. This is his late-career "with strings" album--it could be the soundtrack to a Douglas Sirk film--with an all-star American backing combo (Uri Caine on piano, Scott Colley on bass, Peter Erskine on drums, with a couple of guest spots from guitarist John Scofield) and gorgeous orchestral arrangements by Alan Broadbent, including standout adaptations of Miles's "All Blues" and Trane's "After the Rain." Recorded at Sear Sound, with a wonderfully immersive 5.1 mix by Jim Anderson and Ulrike Schwartz, mastered by Bob Ludwig. Audiophile-minded production by Jeff Levenson. This is a top-shelf effort all around--one of the sleepers of 2022. Hope it portends more such releases on the (newly reborn?) enja label.

Looks good, but uh, acquire where exactly (SACD right?)

I found it at Amazon for 19 bucks (although I see it's currently out of stock):
https://www.amazon.com/Nora-Franco-Ambrosetti/dp/B0BFV42NP1/Also back-ordered at ImportCDs.

JPC.de has it, though. They're totally reliable in my experience, and for non-EU residents, their prices are lower than listed once VAT is removed. Shipping to the US is also cheap and fast.

Well, this is kind of fun: cellist Jakob Spahn with members of the Orchestra Academy of Bayerische Staatsorchester (a very accomplished youth orchestra), playing works by Friedrich Gulda--better known as a pianist than a composer, I think--and Tchaikovsky. The Gulda "Concerto for Cello and Wind Orchestra" is all over the place, stylistically--the opening movement tries for a jazz-funk style that comes off a little bit hokey, but don't let that put you off--while the Tchaikovsky "Rococo Variations" (originally written for cello and orchestra, arranged for cello and wind quintet) is a virtuoso showpiece.

This Blu-Ray audio disc from 2018 has a dry, close-mic'd Atmos mix that--except for the final piece on the program, a movement from a Tchaikovsky string quartet--favors the fronts while still managing to sound spacious and immersive. It's the centerpiece of a "Charming Cello" package (4 CDs+ 1 BDA) put together last year by JPC.de and still available there for the stupidly low price of €10 (even lower for non-EU residents once VAT is removed).

I may have to block you humprof ... I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to Classical/Orchestra/Chamber/etc and you post a lot of interesting releases, a number that I have pulled the trigger on.
(I have spent way more at Sono Luminus than I ever expected to.)
You are killing my wallet ...

seriously though, thanks for the continued recommendations and links.

Not my favorite JMJ, but the only MC mix of his I have. Lots of ping ponging sound effects and aggressive mixes of the tracks, I would love for Zoolook to be released in MC.
