Please post your thoughts and comments on this Multichannel SACD of the album "Lean Into It" by Mr. Big.

I have to agree, this disc was one of the best surprises of the year thus far. The rears aren't consistently active, but there's always a bit of overdubbed percussion or a burst of isolated backing vocals back there to keep things interesting. There's even some fun swirling moments with the guitar solos. My only knock on the 5.1 mix is that the rhythm guitars are somewhat dialed back in comparison to the stereo remaster (which sounds great as well). I'm going with a "9".

In case anyone hasn't seen it already, I had the opportunity to interview remix engineer Chris Bell about the making of this disc back in July:
