On New York's channel 2 news broadcast tonight there was a piece concerning dogs while on leashes being walked in urban areas ingesting discarded marijuana roaches or joints and even discarded MJ edibles becoming sickened and in need of veterinary attention. Animals react to MJ much differently than humans often resulting in vomiting, off balance bahavior as well as other maladies. If you suspect your dog has ingested cannabis, best to take them to a vet.

Today. May 1. In Michigan. C'mon MAN !!!!!!!!!!!
Only saving grace for me is that its a wee bit north of my location.
Still..........WTF

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EDT
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy wet snow. Additional snow accumulations of 6 to 18
inches. The lowest snow accumulations will occur close to Lake
Superior and well inland around Arnold. The greatest snow
accumulations, up to an additional 2 feet, will occur in the
high terrain to the southeast of L`anse and to the west and
northwest of Negaunee. North winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Baraga and Marquette Counties.

* WHEN...Until 11 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible due to
slushy snow accumulations on roads. The hazardous conditions
will impact the morning and evening commutes today and the
morning commute on Tuesday. With heavy wet snow collecting on
trees and powerlines, the strong will cause tree damage and
power outages. The power outages could become widespread. The

It was 80 yesterday in Boise. Spring lasted about 30 minutes.

The day a true legend visited my hometown.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-south-scotland-60647926
My great uncle Jimmy, who had emigrated to America in the 40s and was a pastor in Houston at the time, visited Neil and encouraged him to visit Langholm (which is the ancestral seat of the Armstrong clan) on behalf of the town council. He agreed and a couple of years later, after giving a lecture in Edinburgh, he visited the small town with a population of about 2'000.

The Writer's Guild of America has chosen to go on strike which can affect everything we see in motion pics and on TV

https://www.aol.com/entertainment/hollywood-writers-slamming-gig-economy-051013126.html
Oh no!!! More crappy reality television shows are on the way. Lucky for me sports aren't affected. ;)

I've heard a little bit about the strike. What did writers expect to happen when all these streaming services started creating their own scripted series? They basically have so much supply out there that they've watered down their own markets. The pie is only so big. What was considered the minimum number of viewers a show needed to produce to be considered a success prior to the streaming bonanza has been redefined to a much lower number. With lower numbers comes less money.

Beware QQ comrads. A.I. is going to kill us all:

Going to? Well, it's 'killing' me already. I'm making a 5.1 of James Taylor's You've Got A Friend. A.I. it thinks that some of the bongo beats belong in the "other instruments" stem while the rest of the beats belong in the "drums" stem. DeMiX Pro, Demucs 4HT, and LALAL.AI all return the same failed stem separations regardless of the method of extraction.

Be afraid...Be very afraid. A.I. = Acoustic Idiocy. 🤣

C;mon Man !!!!! PART 2

29 inches of snow in Michigan in May. A new US record for the most snow ever recorded in the month of May east of the Rockies. See depressing video

maybe Im feeling a little melancholy at the moment --but pretty ironic to have a rare massive storm and blizzard on Lake Superior on the same day the Mr Gordon Lightfoot dies

I noticed the lyrics were wrong in a few places.

@DuncanS and @fredblue are busy getting things polished up for tomorrow's coronation. Now we know what they did with their gold CD collections. They have been practicing their technique by working on the golden statue of Prince Albert that sits across the street from the RAH. They tried to get @beerking involved but he was too busy down at the local pub, enjoying a couple three libations and listening to the Flying Burrito Brothers's "The Gilded Palace Of Sin."

Rumor has it that The Knack will be performing a retooling of their hit: "Muh-muh-muh-my Camilla!"

Be careful with that sword Eugene!

I'm a bit miffed that my invite has clearly got mislaid.
With the surname I have ( not queen) it should have been automatic!!

Hence the second part of my handle.

By the way, it's the Flying Pickets song ...Only You
