What would be the simplest way to sum 4 quad channels while preserving the separation in those channels and then low pass it to feed a subwoofer? Can this be dome passively and if so how much gain would be lost doing it?
Probably would need to be able to adjust the low pass frequency, say from 80 to 40 Hz? I know I could use a 4 input mixer and electronic crossover but is there a simpler way passive way?
When I put my Marantz in direct analog input mode I can input 4 surround signals but it doesn't send anything to the subs. And if I tap one of the four and feed it into the 5.1 analog sub input it puts mids in the sub.
