The Dorren discrete quad system for FM radio was approved for the USA and tested in Canada also.
The BBC developed matrix H and sent demo materials to other European broadcasters.
I don't know what was done in Japan about quad broadcasting (in the 1970s), although Japan has led the world in High Definition TV (they now have a satellite channel w/8K content).
I also don't know what was done about quad broadcasting outside of North America and Europe, anyone know?
