Neat wasn't aware this was the next thing he was going to do.
I thought he might be coming out with a bluray concert film of the present tour as his next release(hoping its a release soon anyways as loved the concert) but this is a nice surprise to get from SW.

Thanks for the heads up!
No mention of the video for Routine being included on the BluRay That's very disappointing, and I hope it gets added on--there will be plenty of room for it on that disc!
An interim release between Hand. Cannot. Erase. and his next album, Steven Wilson's 4 ½ comprises 6 tracks with a total running time of 37 minutes.
Four of the songs originated during the sessions for Hand. Cannot. Erase. and one from the recording sessions for The Raven That Refused To Sing. The vocals on this new version are sung as a duet between Steven and Ninet Tayeb.
Adam Holzman, Nick Beggs, Guthrie Govan, Dave Kilminster, Craig Blundell, Marco Minnemann, Chad Wackerman and Theo Travis also contribute to 4 ½.

Wow, this man is on fire!
Really hope he'll get back together with PT some time soon, too...
I think his band now is much more talented. Marco>>>>Gavin

You mentioned the only band member who I think is a downgrade from the PT lineup , but I agree that the rest of the band is better (including SW himself as compared to his old self).
No way! Gavin is probably the most talented drummer I know, even though I actually prefer SW solo stuff over PT.
I disagree. Each musician SW has worked with brings something different/unique to the table. While most of the solo band may be more 'technical', it doesn't make them better, just different.
I personally prefer the PT guys playing PT tunes, the feel is just not the same without them, if you ask me. I'm eager to hear the Ninet/SW duet though on Don't Hate Me.
So you think PT albums have better drumming than Raven?
