Looks like A Beautiful Curse has a new release coming in early 2021. Pre-order is up now at Bandcamp. The 4 disc set contains the multi-channel.

Also saw a new release from Alain Mallet. Currently available. Only, to get the multi-channel Flacs, you have to buy a USB for $22...which would contain the Flac files.

And, once again... Elliot Scheiner is behind the mix for Alain Mallet.

Great find, Gene! I really liked the first Alain Mallet / Mutt Slang album, which was on Scheiner's own ETrain label. One of the best-sounding DTS-CDs in my collection.

Here are some details about the new one from the label, Seattle's Origin Records (that page includes one streaming sample and a video), and a great review from AAJ:

The entire album is streaming on Spotify, Tidal, and Apple Music.

Good idea to remind people, I usually add albums in my whishlist and then purchase on Bandcamp Friday.
I think there are a few tags to watch:

Thanks to you, @Franck , I checked out marimba player Nathaniel Bartlett's Precipice, and now I want to get all of his stuff. Kuniko Kato's surround discs on Linn separate the high & low ends of the marimba into fronts and rears. Bartlett doesn't do that; the solo marimba tracks are more "immersive." (His repertoire is also more adventurous, on the whole, even though there's some overlap.) But on the tracks where he adds "computer-generated sounds," or multi-tracked marimbas, things get interestingly discrete.

In the end Alain Mallet has sent me the FLACS as the cost of post & track for the USB to the UK was really crazy, and I expect I'd have got stung for import duty + handling fee. Alain has been great (y), the links didn't work but he found a way, so I now have the :51QQ files on my PC :rocks:SG. Unfortunately my system is disconnected for a few days as I'm having new radiators fitted, and my floorstanders got in the way so had to be shifted. So listening to them will have to wait.
Edit: It would be $51 to post & track to the UK, an insane amount!

Glad you'll be getting new radiators, Dunc [The HEAT IS ON] but for a $13 album [an extraordinary bargain, BTW for 2 CDs, a DVD and BD~A in 5.1] $51 to post/track to the UK is BARBAROUS!. Glad you were able to get the FLAC and save a lot of FLACK!

That's fantastic. A USB drive is on its way to me--but I have to confess that I wondered why he didn't just make the files available for download via Dropbox or some such...

And...it's absolutely gorgeous. I'm really over the moon. One of the best purchases I've made all year.

Scheiner fan? "World jazz" fan? Pat Metheny fan? (There are some stylistic similarities, and the opening track is "Trolls (for Lyle).") You need this album:

Well the radiators are fitted (testing now), they're vertical ones on either side of the window in the front and back rooms, that frees up the wall space where the old radiators were for more shelving for music discs, and the Box Sets I can't stop buying 🥴

Indeed, he's a pretty interesting and talented musician. The first two albums would likely interest fans of CSN and the like. They're more traditional. The third one is pretty out there. I haven't spent enough time with this new one but it sure is getting a lot of attention.
I messaged him a few months ago but never heard back. I would like to, but likely won't unless he'd use it - as I've got other albums I'm chipping away on. It would be fun though, regardless. :)
