I just listened to Can't Buy A Thrill and Pretzel Logic, QS vinyl. I find both of these to be unsatisfactory listening. They sound less distinct then many SQ recordings I've heard, and the separation is not exciting. I'm asking for feedback not to knock the QS mastering, but to find out if my QS decoder, a 1000 QSD is in need of refinement in some way.

I decided to open this very old thread to ask a Steely Dan question.
I was looking through my Steely Dan album files and noticed the song FM is only on a Greatest Hits CD.
Is that right?

I know I'm a bit late for response , but a surround version of The Dan's FM , is available on the DVD version of Two Against Nature Live NYC ,
"Plus T.V. Jazz Rock Party In Sensuous Surround Sound"...DTS/DD.
