Again Thank You to Rhino for providing us with these discs, as I will purchase all 4 sight unseen. Hopefully, it will be an unknown to me artist, that will open up my music enjoyment. Mingus Moves certainly did just that!
And after a back and forth with Marcus in customer service, maybe just maybe, mine will arrive undamaged šŸ¤£šŸ¤£
(Got an extra dozen empty cases just in case)

Okay, ya got me. No New Seekers this time around, but maybe one day!
We got 2 R&B-ish titles (one of which I hope blows some minds)
1 Jazz Cat
1 Singer-Songwriter whose first name isn't Jackson.

And by the way, I can't thank you all enough for making this successful and so much fun.
Againā€¦hoping for AWB and Donny Hathaway!

Looking at this picture, apparently Peter didn't get the memo on how he was supposed to pose for it...or he did, and just decided to be rebellious.;)

All released back in the day, but first time reissued.

1 was only on 8 track
2 were on LP & 8 Track
1 was on LP, 8 Track, and Open Reel Tape

Cheers!

I would think that between these two sets of clues that our forum sleuths should be able to figure out this riddle well before Christmas! šŸ¤¶

My apology for what was (essentially) a double post of my smartarse comment on the New Seekers album cover. The ol' browser hiccupped as sometimes happens and I didn't realize until just now what it had done in regard to it.

Almost as good as the inside cover of Rush 2112. (Yes, that picture!)

Was this kind of thing just so in vogue at the time that nobody noticed or was this just as impossibly campy as it looks today?

Jazz cat? Cat in Spanish is "gato", that could mean Gato Barbieri, who was not originally issued by WEA, but there is one artist in this bunch that was not originally issued by WEA, so...maybe?

Ok, Iā€™ll play:
  • Modern Jazz Quartet - Plastic Dreams
  • Average White Band - AWB
  • Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly
  • Randy Newman - Good Old Boys
Excellent list!

Close to my dream list four:

  • Modern Jazz Quartet - Plastic Dreams
  • Donny Hathaway - Extensions of a Man (with Stanley Clarke on many tracks)
  • Roberta Flack - Killing Me Softly
  • Randy Newman - Good Old Boys

I didn't know this until yesterday, but Jackson Browne's first name is actually "Clyde!" So, yup. I think that's one. šŸ˜

The next batch of Quadios have been sent off for production.
Currently they are sitting on January 19th, barring any unforeseen hiccups.
Another diverse assortment of titles.
Wonderful news!
Pretty sure I will buy them all regardless of artist/title!
P.S - many thanks to you and team Rhino for making this happen šŸ¦
P.S. Any update on the corrected Spinners disc? šŸ™šŸ¼

Such a tease.
Clyde (AKA Jackson) Browne?
Jazz Cat: my first thought that came to mind (but does not qualify)

Credit Card at the ready for the Quadio bundle, I've stuck it down so it can't escape!

Would love the Average White Band,
Roberta Flack would be excellent,
Jackson ("Turn left Clyde") Browne or James Taylor,
the Jazz Cat? After hearing the wonderful Mingus release for the first time, whoever it is will be great
- its nice to have a diverse selection so you can play something as the mood takes you.
