I have all five. I don't know why Wilson never got his hands on Going for the One. Awaken in surround would be sublime
How much for your Relayer? Check you PMI'll happily sell Relayer to any serious buyer! Otherwise, over the moon with Yes in surround. Magnification and the JVC Special Edition DVD-A included!
Different tapes. Audio Fidelity would have used the stereo mixdown master tape. For a surround remix, the multitrack masters are needed. And Going For The One has some odd production/mixing choices that affect its tonality in a negative way. Couldn't be mastered away.Audio Fidelity did GFTO in stereo
I recall being unimpressed, maybe there wasn’t a master for them to use if tapes are missing?
Can you explain the odd production/mixing choices? Or is there a link with an article about it you can share?Different tapes. Audio Fidelity would have used the stereo mixdown master tape. Strange EQ/phase (maybe stereo spread?) used. Easily audible if you know what to listen for.Can you explain the odd production/mixing choices? Or is there a link with an article about it you can share?

I heard they changed engineers mid production, and mistakenly used the wrong Dolby(?) noise reduction for playback afterwards. So theoretically, it could be corrected if they went back to the multitracks? But I could be wrong.
