I have Poco's "Crazy Eyes" in both the standard CD and the DTS version. On the title song on the CD, the banjo plays discretely in the rears, much more so than on the DTS version, when played with DPLII. The overall mix throughout is just balanced better.

Are you saying that you haven't heard the album through DTS decoding, which(AFAIK)replicates the quad mix?

ED :)

Oh, I'm sure the DTS replicates the quad mix. Yes, I've played it that way. I'm just saying that, surprisingly, playing the stereo mix through DPLII decoding actually creates some more intersting surround effects than you'll hear in the quad mix.
