If I have researched correctly, the Sansui X001 series receivers have variomatrix, as do the Sansui QSD and QS series rear amplifiers. I know one other company had a similar option (Marantz?) called the varimatrix.
It seems that prices for even broken Sansui units are getting beyond reasonable (well, that might be a subjective decision. I can't afford them anyway) and Marantzes also command top dollar, so my question is what units have fake matrixing capabilities that may not be as good as a Sansui or a Marantz, but still actually work? What lesser brands had a similar feature?
Thanks.
