after i read the earlier article regarding the split i knew a "universal player" was on its way. when do you guys think these new formats will hit the market? should i hold off on getting the dv-45a of my dreams?

The 45a is a thing of beauty. Of course I am a bit biased.

Yes, the dv45a also adorns my shelf.

I will, however, go on to the next format if need be. I have always been one to support new tech. I still always say, "I just wish they would make up their minds!!!"
