You may want to consider finding an Onkyo TX-NR709. I bought one on eBay for around $150 in a bid. I see some right now for around $200. There are others in the TX series you might want to consider too.
Be very careful in purchasing one of the Onkyo TX or Integra DTR models. They are notorious for having the DSP chip on the HDMI board get too hot and actually become desoldered causing the complete loss of audio out from any source. If you get one that has working sound you’ll need to add external cooling fans ( exhaust type ) to the top of the unit to keep it working or else it will probably develop the problem. If you look on eBay you can see many for sale either as parts units ( citing no sound as the reason ) or listed as untested which is a dead giveaway that it’s not functioning correctly. If it doesn’t say completely tested and guaranteed or money back, stay away !!. In fact, the problem was so bad that Integra later extended the warranties on most models for two years to replace the HDMI board.

So did Onkyo fwiw. I own an Onkyo TX-NR808 that was affected as well, bought it in 2012 (the model is from 2010 if I'm not mistaken) and mine is still going strong and I do play it loud! Maybe I got lucky?

The one I bought on eBay is was used and I have had it for 3 years...

If you put your hand on the top right portion of the cover after it’s been on for only a short time it’s probably almost too hot to touch. You might consider putting an exhaust fan ( that pulls the air out rather than blowing it in ) over that portion of the top cover ( where the DSP chip on the HDMI board is located ) to help cool the chip. It might extend the life of your TX-NR709. A search of the AVS forums shows entire threads regarding the sound issues with Integra and Onkyo receivers and the heat issues with the DSP chip. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure ( or in the case of a TX-NR-709, 26.9 pounds of cure ). Your receiver may never have the sound loss problem but why take a chance when there is such a relatively inexpensive way to help prevent the issue in the first place.

Hey kids

Here is a look at our new Y speakers, they are incredibly LOUD forget about electrostatics being whisper quiet.

What are the specs on these? They look great.
Broadly

3.5 micron thick mylar
1 mm gap grid to mylar
approx 5 mm thick
Polarisation Voltage around 2.8 KV
Transformer 100/1 stepup, 5 layer interpose
Frequency response - flat as a tack from 200 Hz to whoopy
Around 340 mm high (from memory)
THD- bugger all around 0.1%, IMD the same
Max SPL around 105 db at 2 meters
sensitivity, dunno but 10 W will blow your ears backwards

I will have to dig out the impulse decay response but suffice to say its all over after 80 microseconds.

We do not sell them by themselves (yet) only with the Y4. Will shortly do a 4 feet high version. The panels are deliberately designed to be extra highly directional. This combined with a bunch of other tricks (see our SST "sweet spot technology) effectively means you can sit anywhere - no sweet spot and complete image centering and consistency at all spots in the room with no bloody center channel.

Just book a flight across the drink after the corona thing for a demo, been doing this electrostatic thing since 1995!

And here is a bunch of the new series Y4 amplifiers lined up with their "bonnets up" all tested and working!!

For human interest is Chris our product designer/ mechanical engineer with his corona mask on.

We are currently locked down with only a few select industries allowed to work, we crawl under "computers and electronic manufacture" and with our other solar company under essential power supply. Presently 70% of our team are working from home , now most days at the factory its just lil ol me, Tony, Tiny Max and his team of Perry and Nathan and Chris (pictured comes in a few days a week). Its getting a bit grim down here. Looks like the bug got out for a nasty much bigger second wave after private security guards minding corona quarantined people were humping those with the bug and spread it out to the community!

Dave the Bitch is recovering from a lower back operation in hospital, silly bastard stuffed his back throwing his kid in the air and catched her sideways, he has been one fart away from a wheel chair for months. Fortunately he qualified for our free health care system otherwise he would have been staring down $30,000 (we were going to pay). Fortunately in the socialist workers paradise of Australia we still retain some elements of free health care in our current stupid private/ public mix. Dave should be up and dancing in a week or two.

I ditched my private insurance 35 years ago after having to sue (in court for 9 years) a quack for the death of my twins and I found that the medical reports were the property of the private doctor. Made it really hard to get evidence, I eventually stopped the prick from practicing. At least in the public system the medical records can be accessed via freedom of information legislation (if they don't decide to lose it). So far I have had to pay out of my own cash for 2 bicep reattachment's (weight lifting) and one partial knee replacement (running) but the 2 heart surgeries were via the pubic "free" (taxes) system-(arrhythmia ablations - I am the perfect storm, ex runner, bike rider, weight lifter, tall guys get it over 6 feet 1 and a pre existing SVT since 17 years old).

Just thought I would do some pointless rambling tonight

Sounds like there’s a big lug Down Under in need of a 🤗

Things sound pretty grim in Victoria at the moment Chucky. Hope you guys can all stay safe (despite all of the idiots who seem to think they can do whatever they like and put everyone else at risk!). I'm sure that all of us here would also like you to pass on our best wishes to Dave for a speedy recovery.
Keep smiling!

Just thought I would pass on my excuses I wrote this morning to our leader in the USA Kevin (Just a fun guy). He desperately wants the first sample batch for USA distribution:

Dearest yankee god

Excuses list:

1: We are in the middle of a Corona lockdown in Melbourne and only selected "essential" industries get to go to work. We fortunately (through some black magic by me) are one but I have 70% of the troops working from home. BUT production is flowing, I have 20 just about ready for packing - fixing the last 2
.
2 Big Dave the Bitch has just had his back operation and is semi functioning in 15 minute software bursts from home. He is changing the menu structure so a normal human being can figure it out - not just a software weenie/ geek.

3 Dawson decided we needed white labeled sexy Apple style cardboard boxes to finish the product and we are awaiting delivery of said boxes (I think 2 more weeks- not my call sorry).

4 A bunch of last minute checks/ double checks and minor quality "finish" improvements by Chris.

5 Incompetence

I still need your details of how we do the $$$$ this time......................

I have attached a photo of the amplifiers with their hoods up, ready for packing and a look at the new better quality/ looking speaker. Just as a note each unit has over 2000 components, 6000 lines of software, around 150 IC's and the circuit diagram is over 75 pages!
