Moody Blues: A Question of balance sacd
Although we never got In Search of the Lost Chord in surround, aQofB almost makes up for it.

Oh the moody blues - great band of the 1970's - i loved them.
Whereas the missing "lost chord" - well now that could ONLY have been played using (of course) a Chordophone

I made one of those - using the iron frame (and thus all the intact strings thereon) of an old piano that I dismembered into scrap wood.
I thought I'd clean it, so applied water, soap and of course a nice Chamois cloth - and got something a little LIKE this (no really like this - this comment - as in - LIKE IT)

I also recorded it - onto a "reel of tape" (cellphone actually)
& Called it - !!!
SIX channel UFA ? (Unidentifiable Fictitious Audio)
What would you call it - if not some Red / Green or BLUE (indian) theme?

Is that the LOST ?
Chord..
p.s:
On that video on YouTube - I wrote a little of what it was - or could have been - or should be or?
Well - basically i wrote a lot of..
this:
quintessential essence of an 'Apache' This is a "theme" ? Which has been wandering around inside my head (for a few years now) ... Me_Thinks ... the short version of this track ... was something I did ( as a remaster ) .... some long whiles ago ... from the specialist guitarist "twin" ... of my thrice removed twin cousin's ... Whom once upon a time even won awards at The Country Music & Gold Guitar Awards ... GORE (NZ) Although - I'm thinking his forte` was a rendition of ??? Oh what's it called... ghost riders?... Anyways he was good.. OR? & Here's where time long past... starts to get hazy? Is it actually one of my original WIDE_MODE recordings? Of Apache... by the Shadows... OR? A "similar" style & theme of instrumentals... I did... from an Original Fleetwood Mac album? ? ? ? ? I DO NOT REMEMBER. Thus... as it "imbibes_me" (with a feeling of long lost souls ... and lonely wanderings) I have simple entitled this... & yes YOU WILL STATE- COMPLETELY & UTTERLY WRONGLY... (as) ? quintessential essence of an 'Apache' All you need to know is this.... NOT ONLY - did I ultra_extend "this" ... BUT it's "NOW" in both WIDE_MODE... Being Quintuplet_flip_Inverted & "overlap" Remastered BUT... I then "replay" this - across my 6p2 micro system WITH LIGHTS on 4 of the 6 mains As a form of "quadruple" WIDE_MODE...? (note .. there IS NO L_R... as heard on an original) There is ONLY a FRONT & BACK "main" .. played into my "sextuplet" decoder ... & thus IS giving me SIX channels of ULTRA_WIDE_MODE (from 'my" 1st WIDE_MODE ... of front -&- back channels) And... because I have "altered this somewhat" (BUT without crossing & wrong beating the timing) THIS - becomes excellent (Disco) Night-Club Music Being subsonic extended bass drum "ufa" dance music Whereas ... UFO ... (means) ... uh .. U'll Find Out ...!!!...

Sound Check...

LISTEN TO NOW ?
Is this the thread for what people are "listening to now" - or to the now album ?
ie:
Uriah Heap - 1972 - in full surround.
Well - I'm listening to it NOW - in full analogue surround, but you'll get it (from YouTube) in full 2 ch stereo .
But as we all know, that is enough - to get multiple channel surround sound from..
So go listen too .. the full album - 39 minutes or so..
Uriah Heep - Demons and Wizards (Full Album) 1972

Ok - so maybe I got that wrong - I'll wander off and recheck my inbox - put some more wood on the fire, play some C&C video games, and wait until my mind slows down enough - to come back and read communications without wandering YouTube for songs.. lost

Did I hear that the Petty Estate is going to re release Wildflowers in a box set? Surround?
I know a new EP was released this week.
For now I listen to this fine BD-A 5.1, 24/96. Pretty cool that a modern day artist had 4 surround releases before his untimely death under his belt. Fantastic, artist, musician, band leader, song writer, loved by millions.

This album and <Reckless> from Bryan Adams seemed to come out of nowhere as far as 5.1 Blu Ray releases go. So glad I snapped both of them up. ))
