Why no BD?

Because the videos themselves were all shot on standard definition video tape? I'm guessing that's the case for most of them, anyway.

Actually, since all the videos on this DVD were cropped to fit a 16X9 screen, I predict that one day the videos will be re-released with a line on the package which reads "All Videos in Their Original Aspect Ratio!!!"

Did anyone else notice that all of these videos are 4.0 and not 5.1 (with the exception of the ANATO tracks and one weird blurb during the chorus of "Hammer To Fall" on disc two)? Or is my disc defective?

Why no BD?

Because most of ther footage will exist as archived DV, so to make a true HD version it would need to be print mastered, printed to film & then scanned at 4k.
It's not a cheap process but just uprezzing SD to HD numbers will not a good BD make.

I hope they got the navigation on disc 2 when played on a 4:3 letterboxed setup right this time around - it's hopeless on the 2DVD set.
