As an old fart here that was fortunate to see them live in the mid 70's, I'll definitely need to have a listen to this. But what's basically a three piece Rock band, it's going to be real interesting to hear how they mixed this into 5.1/Atmos. 🧐

There are some interesting sparkly little things (chimes?) going on in the title track, maybe some swirling effects, hand claps, vocal embellishments etc.

I will of course be rooting for a great surround experience; but also I'll buy just about anything in surround if I like the music/artist, here's an example:

On May 17, Chrysalis will help celebrate that 50th Anniversary of Bridge of Sighs with a brand new Stereo Mix and Remaster of the album, and coupling it with outtakes and rarities never heard before, and a CD of a live US show in its entirety from the period. Additionally, a Blu-ray will be packed into the box with 5.1 Surround Mix, Atmos mix, and a collection of outtakes, and instrumental tracks. Sounds like a grand party to me!

A 2LP set with Half-Speed Mastering, pressed on 180g-weight black vinyl that will be housed in a deluxe double gatefold jacket is being offered. You can also expect DD offerings as well. Finally! one of my favourite albums - Its one of those albums I can put it on no matter what, and always end up smiling, absolutely love it, this calls for every possible :hi :QQlove:rocks:51QQ:SG:LB:SB

I wonder about the mix as well. This album is not heavily produced. But ZZTop is a three piece and the Quad Tres Hombres keeps my interest. So I'm hoping for something decent.

I know I got to see him once that I remember for sure... 1987. A small club in Baltimore where you could easily get a good view. Great concert and a great night. Still young enough to go out on a work night to see a concert and drink some beers, and willing to be miserable at work the next day. That ended with the 80's. LOL
I feel like I saw him one other time in that 1980 to 1990 time frame but, I guess those are phantom memories, or that was one hell of a night.

So, I wonder if the full album in instrumental format is in surround or stereo?

1Blu-ray: Includes the 96KHZ 24 Bit Audio Stereo Versions of the 2024 Remasters, Newly Created Atmos and 5.1 in Addition to the Full Album in Instrumental Format and Collection of Outtakes
