I've ordered a lot from Burning Shed in the past (I'm not a one-time customer) and never got any problem. I also order quite a few books from Amazon UK and never got a single delivery problem. As far as I'm concerned, delivery from UK to France has always been smooth. I'm also on various PT's forums and I've yet to find someone else who did not get his package. So go figure. All that said, France is one of the specific nations mentioned by Burning Shed when suggesting Postal Insurance.
I'm starting to wonder if the package has been indeed shipped.
I don't think you get the point.I'd suggest that you'd be lucky to get a replacement if it was indeed lost in the post. And, since they forewarned you, they'd be in the right.
There was no insurance for the "slightly bended corners" that you can see on page 3 of this thread. But, despite the extreme rarity of the package, Burning Shed sent a replacement nonetheless. That IS being lucky in that context.
I'm just questioning Burning Shed's policy, i.e., is it better to send replacement packages because of some minor quibbles and let other people without nothing at all ? I'd be more than happy to get at least a copy with such slightly bended corners.
By the way, to those who got replacement copies, what did you do with your "defective" copy ? Sent them back to Burning Shed ?
