I listened to a tiny preview and indeed the mix sounded good! Great to have, I'm going to wait until I get the Blu Ray from Amazon in a few weeks to listen to it though. Want it to sound it's best...
That's probably a clerical/timing error - in the UK it's Atmos. Warner don't have any toe in the 360RA game as far as I know? And I doubt Tidal get involved with encoding?
The same thing happened with Olivia Rodrigo's GUTS album, which is available in both Atmos and 360RA, despite being a Universal release... Funny thing is there are a lot of Sony music releases that have only dropped in Atmos?!
Oh cool many thanks! I see he's credited as an engineer on the Fleetwood Mac Tusk Atmos release and considering he was only 5 when it was recorded, must mean he was involved with the Atmos...
I thought Tusk was a nice mix, The Rumours (Atmos) not so, but I think that was someone else. He also lists 360RA in his bio so I presume he encoded 2 mixes for the streaming services?
There is nothing in this article I can tell that the author Jeffrey Kauffman has actually listened to this album in surround much less ATMOS. It is a preview, not a review as happens so often on that website. He talks of Bernstein, and spaces and Tears for Fears. Nothing that tells us how the album mix presents. Maybe because it hasn't been actually released yet? Does he have a special press corp release? If so he's done nothing to tell his viewers how the new album will actually sound in surround.
