I'm not sure it's been answered here, so for those who bought both the boxset and the standalone BR, have the BRs got the same in content or are there differences ? Thanks !

The Box Set has:
The Blu Ray has the album (8 Tracks) and extras (7 tracks) both in 2.0, Atmos and 5.1.
The CD's (3) in the box set has the orginal and bonus CD 1 (15 Tracks)
CD 2 has different BBC Sessions (16 Tracks)
CD 3 has Live and Rarities (15 Tracks)

Looking at the back cover for both I see a difference, with the box set under bonus atmos mixes there’s “Whisky in the jar” full version which doesn’t show on the standalone, can anyone confirm this?

Yep... The product information has been "all over the place" with both releases.

Indeed, a few weeks before the standalone Blu-ray disc's release, most vendors including Amazon were showing pictures of the boxed-set

For anyone who has the boxed-set... How are the discs packed/located within the box? Are they in cardboard sleeves or just located in slots...

The CDs are in a fold-out cardboard sleeve. The Blu-ray is in an individual cardboard sleeve

Doesn't look like it, nothing hidden on the Menus. So may be its a marketing ploy to get people to buy the stand-alone as well

Normally all the extras are in the box! They might be hidden on the in-box BD so show up on a rip, but they would be of a one-off listen for me.

So...

Has nobody checked their 'boxed set' Blu-ray disc to see if there's an 'stereo' instrumental track within stream 00010.m2ts?

 

[The New Quad In Town]

Thanks to everyone who has tried to decode this release. I have the box set and the blu-ray doesn't include the instrumental versions. File 00010.m2ts (Main Album) is only 11.7GB and File 00000.m2ts (Bonus Tracks) is 7.7GB - the audio #4, 4355 is not present. There are, however, more variants of the 5.1 mix: AC3, DTS & DTS-HD MA. Its the same for the Main Album and the Bonus Tracks (Despite the sleeve only listing the Bonus tracks as Atmos Mixes).

On a separate issue, when I listen on headphones to the Atmos mix or any of the 5.1 mixes, I notice a weird sound on Hero and the Madman. When Phil sings ..."Those that knew you always said you'd go far" The "F" in "far" sounds like he is blowing a raspberry! I am playing the track in 2 channels so its folded down using headphones. The 2 channel version on the disc does not have this anomaly, nor do any of the other previous CD releases. Can anyone check for this when playing the track on a full surround set-up to see if this strange pronounciation is still present. Cheers
