The CUE file was in my another post, but thanks anyway.

I guess I will try it with your variation, as I don't know how significant that is.

I use MMH, m4a, and Kodi. The tagging seems to work better with m4a.

Has anyone got gapless atmos playing in Kodi/Nvidia Shield Pro?
I mean with track separation. As a single file it's playing gapless just fine, but it seems the CUE sheet doesn't do anything.
I start thinking something is wrong with Kodi for Shield. Apps can perform differently on different hardware.

My problem had been solved. Go to Nvidia apps permission, select Kodi, Files and media. Instead 'Allow only while using the app' select 'Allow all the time'.
Now CUE files start doing their job.
I did some Google search with many words related to my problem, and noticed a small reference to Kodi issue on the Shield, and the solution. It had nothing to do with Atmos or gapless, but I decided to try, and- bingo, it works. Apparently there is some bug between Android for Nvidia and Kodi.
Now my files play perfectly gapless.
Thanks to folks here who tried to help. It helped me to dig deeper and find the solution.

P.S. I've noticed some delays when selecting a single track in mka format. So I use m4a, which suits to me perfectly fine.

I didn’t ever see where you could rip the Atmos file. It only shows as a 5.1 flac file I believe. Correct me if I’m wrong.
You can rip a 7.1 FLAC with DVDAE but I've never figured out how to play it.

Do you have a 7.1 system?
I don't so I don't know for sure. But in the few cases where a 5.1 DTS isn't
available, the 7.1 down-mixes to 5.1 in my AVR and sounds just fine to me.
Of course the Atmos mkv sounds better.

My OPPO BDP-103 can play 7.1 flac files but my (newer) UDP-203 can't. It's the main reason I now keep/play the native bitstream...
Interesting. My OPPO 103 didn't play 7.1 FLAC when i tried it (long time ago). It was just seating on the track selected.
I have an Oppo 83SE . It can't play FLAC at all, and I seldom play discs anymore. All 7.1 I have is Atmos, so I run it through an Atmos processor. So 7.1 FLAC not something I need. And even if I did, Kodi can supply that from FLAC.

But I'm surprised the 203/103s won't do this as they are much more functionally advanced.

My Strawberry Linux media player passes along the 7.1 tracks
of DVD-AE ripped Atmos files to my Denon AVR just fine. To play the actual
Atmos mkv rip requires using Kodi here.

Convert them to wav
Why is that necessary?
Because when 7.1 FLAC will not play 7.1 wav likely will.
Yep, I can confirm that 7.1 (8ch) lpcm.wav files play correctly with the OPPO UDP-203.

By-the-way... 8Ch LC-AAC, HE-AAC, Vorbis, WMA, Monkey's Audio, ALAC can't be played by the OPPO UDP-203 either.

It's much easier to keep the original audio bit-stream...

Ah, y'all were talking about playing thru your Oppos.
Why don't you just leave them in the original form and let your AVR do the DAC ?
