Just noticed it's listed as PAL. I would have assumed NTSC. I suppose it doesn't really matter, as the audio is the only content of import.

It's definitely not PAL. That's erroneous info on amazon's part.

Thanks. Just ordered on Amazon. I have the 2003 version. Haven't researched the differences. Want to support surround releases. It's Zep, no brainer. Will give the DVD-A to someone who will appreciate it.

Nope. Still a thing. PAL's built on 50Hz while NTSC is built on 60Hz. Even when the resolution is the same, the frame rates are not.

According to amazon reviews "Hello Marylou" has been edited out, so less for one's money!

Correct. I just a/b'd the bluray and DVD-A. On the DVD-A "Hello Mary Lou" comes in at the 10 minute mark of "Whole Lotta Love", but it's completely missing on the bluray. The track is about 2 1/2 mins shorter as a result.

Regarding the mix/mastering, I'd say the mix remains the same, however the DVD-A is louder and has more top end. The bluray is probably easier on the ears, and considering the disc runs near 2 1/2 hours that can't be a bad thing.

One more thing, I can confirm that the DVD-A is 24/48 while the bluray is 24/96.
