or shall we call it the ENIGMA of VINYL?
I have seen other (EARLY)digitally mixed records which you can clearly see the cutoff at 20K-22K but this one, along with MANY have the freq response of an ANALOG mix...maybe this should go to another thread, so feel free to change it...
Here is Basia's Time and Tide LP side A ripped at 96K and its corresponding Spectrogram...btw.. GREAT name for a band!

an audiophile pressing from almost 60 years ago...I just found out that the Westminster Records catalog is now owned by DG. Another Salvation Army rescue which seemd to have been immaculately played and handled cause it plays MINT!. It also seems that these are quite sought after...Beautiful renditions, impeccably recorded and mixed in STEREO and by looking at the deadwax, an early Bob Ludwig mastering cause "RL" is etched, so it must be a mid 60s reissue...

So psyched that this just got reissued. Always regretted not grabbing a vinyl copy back when the album was first released in '06.

SLOAN - NEVER HEAR THE END OF IT

Pure power-pop ecstasy from one of Canada's best kept secrets, Sloan. One review I read of the album said that it's what side two of Abbey Road would have been like if it was 76 minutes long. One little gem after another continually segueing from track to track. This thing is pure ear candy. If you're a power-pop fan, this album is essential.

Best of '66 v/a purchased new. Kap
mentioned the easy listening companion LP recently. Not released in '67, as Discogs says. It was fall '66. Murphys (remember them?) had it for 69 cents. Everyone else charged suggested 99 cents for either volume.

EDIT:
Just noticed that this is one of Paul Klingberg's early credits.. if the name rings a bell , he was the one who remixed a bunch of great sounding 5.1 DVD-As in the early naughties; ELP's BSS, Foreigner 4 , etc.!!!!
