If you want the deluxe edition you gotta hurry up. From SW facebook page:

"A heads up that 75% of the limited deluxe book edition of Hand. Cannot. Erase. are now accounted for on pre-order. As with previous deluxe editions it is likely to be completely sold out by release date and will not be repressed, once it’s gone it’s gone!"

it looks like someone has been very busy :)

So what is this all about? The woman who is @handcannoterase and authoring the blog
http://handcannoterase.com is also the same woman (at least she looks like the same woman) on http://stevenwilsonhq.com/sw/hand-cannot-erase-artwork-and-tracklist-revealed/
- if you scroll through the SW site (Previous/Next buttons) you will see background images of the same woman.

That is one hell of a marketing campaign.

Yes, it looks quite impressive. If I remember correctly from one of the Air Studio interviews, Steven said part of the inspiration came from a story about a woman who died and no one missed her for three years.

Some of the blog entries hint in that direction also. The blog is a good way to keep people interested.

Yeah but don't you think it is written to sound a little bit too real? It's almost like a "ha-ha fooled you".

That could be. The thing is we know already that the album is coming out. It would have been great from a marketing poitn of view if the blog was created during 2014 and SW would drop a hint only, before the new album was revealed.

Nevertheless, the current way of promoting is good, and interesting to follow.

Well, we also know that the deluxe edition will include the woman's diary. I wonder if the blog entries will be part of the diary or not. In any case, conceptually, this album looks like an step forward

I finally pre-ordered my DVD Audio Blu-ray from Amazon with mp3 and flac downloads. Only joking about the DVD-A part. It was listed in the description. smiley_biggrin.gif

I hadn't checked for updates as to new concert dates as closest for me was Seattle and its a Weds June 17 concert date. 2-3 hour drive and this stage of my life thats a no go as I have to get up for work at 05:30 a.m.
Get a email from a friend yesterday that there was a Vancouver date added and sure enough there it is June 20th so picked up 2 tickets for myself and a friend.
So far only 300 tickets sold for a 1200 seat venue so if anyone else wants to join me in Vancouver let me know. My tickets are centre row 13,seats 19,20.

SW is a sneaky bastage...
Last tour he did NOT have Madrid and he added it at the last minute..too late for me to get decent seats..but I got to see it!!! (Right , César???)

Anyone know who this woman is?

I just ordered the deluxe set, I'm really looking forward to it.

No one has posted about this yet, so here it is:

The music video for Steven Wilson's new song "Perfect Life"

Can't say I really care for the song that much, but hopefully it will sound better within the context of the album...

Here's the first review I've seen: http://fdrmx.com/steven-wilson-hand-cannot-erase-album-review/

I'm really looking forward to hearing this one as I was blown away by Raven. From the review it sounds like this one will be different and I would hope so. SW doesn't seem to be one to stick to a formula. I enjoyed the song and hope the album lives up to my expectations, which are pretty high.

I've liked both the title track and Perfect Life a lot. I certainly didn't (and don't) expect the whole album to be like those tracks but I like the idea of having at least a couple of tracks like these to break up the heavier and proggier stuff. Looking forward to this album much more than I was The Raven.

Has anyone seen the movie, "Dreams of a Life", this is apparently the basis of what Steven wrote about for this new album. Check out following 2 links for information.

If anyone's interested I found that "Dreams of a Life" is available for (free) stream from the Channel4 web site. Follow the link or use a Film4 player App on android, NowTV etc

...as you may expect, it's somewhat depressing. You have been warned.
