My ex wanted to play this back when we had a band but we only got to me figuring out the string intro (on keyboards).. NOT EASY! but I did it...this is a killer album.. wasn't this slated for those early 00's DVD-A releases???

That debut album was indeed killer...lot's of talent in the background....Larry Carlton on guitar...besides Michael McDonald...Don Henley and J.D. Souther on vocals...and a vocalist that played with many of the top bands..the late Valerie Carter...who passed away in 2017 and lived in nearby St. Pete Florida...and remember Nicolette Larson...she was on backing vocals on that album....she had her own #1 hit in 1978..."Lotta Love"....we lost her at the age of 45...so there was indeed a LOT of talent on that debut album...

Ripped a couple CD’s and they sound amazing...in particular...

A new tune from Bruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuce!

I’ll be into this newest album of his!
Man, I’d sure love it if Bruce would just put the hammer down on a proper studio surround mixed album; ‘cause Devils and Dust was an enormous cocked up disappointment for me.:(

I have that German Ronstadt CD. Although I'm not little, I'm Poor Poor from buying all this software.

The label side of the disc adds extra protection, IMHO, but costs extra $$$ for paint to manufacture. So, many companies ceased pressing them that way. Most never did.

Is that why those early German pressings were called "target"?

It's either that or the fact that you could not buy them at Target.

IIRC they were mostly artists under contract to Warner Brothers or their associated arms and those "markings" were meant to mimic a clock at 3..6...9.. and 12 o'clock...most of the early titles offered flat transfers from the masters

Hang on a minute. Of course, later stuff like vol 2 is likely to be recorded on better gear and perhaps had better mastering. She was a bigger act when that later stuff was recorded.

On the other hand, some mono jazz recording from the late '50's sound fantastic.

So having really good DR numbers isn't everything...right?
