Interested to see what you make of the surround mix on this LK.

I don't remember being overly knocked out by it.. and only played it through the once before moving on.. but that was a few years ago and there's been a lot of surround since, so its probably overdue another listen to give it a fair crack of the whip.

I quite like it....Nice "in the studio" style mix with plenty going on all around!!

Its been a great week!!
:51banana:
Silverline Winners:
Awaken - DVD-A
Is It Rolling Bob? - Dualdisc (DVD-A)
BJ Cole - Trouble In Paradise - Dualdisc (DVD-A)

&

Crossfade - Crossfade - Dualdisc (Dolby Digital)
Joey Curtin - Once Upon A Time - DTS CD

I need to give this a spin tonight

certainly better surround on the "Rough Mix" DVDA DualDisc than I remembered, many times there's separate stuff happening all over the place, though still some "cop out" double stereo and lead vocals replicated at too high a volume level in the rears.. a fair few times I felt it could have got a bit more discrete/ambitious in the rears...

but.. (and here's the big bugbear for me) this is one example of an album where the vocals should have been a little less "exposed", neither PT nor RL were up to much as singers imho.. still a nice enough album, with a nice feel, great musicianship, varying degrees of songwriting quality, mostly effective surround mix and very nice sound quality.

I don't know if there's a QQ Poll but I'd probably give it a 7.

how's the surround on that Joey Curtin, LK? Our Mr.Bright Side here seemed to like it I think!? (mine's still stuck in the mail).

Hi,

I got some Don Henley - End of the Innocence DTS disc without all artwork (booklet, inlay) - I was aware of that and got it cheap. Does somebody of you have a scan of the artwork so I can "complete" my copy.

Many thanks in advance

Markus

Funny seeing those Elvis SACDs mixed in with the $6 ones. Now if only they were $6.

I'll be ordering this from Elusive soon. Not buying from Acoustic after they screwed up my last order and expected me to return an item at my expense.

Is that the Hoffman mastering on that ? Same as the DCC ?

I could email you a 600 dpi scan of the front and back artwork of the booklet and the back of the trayliner.

I wouldn't have the patience to do the whole booklet. PM me your email address if you like.
