Christmas number 1 in the UK

Hello all,

Being a bit of a muso and being of an age not to bother with the charts any more this bit of news has peaked my interest.
Tom Newman (the original producer of Tubular Bells) has a project where he is re-recording classic albums with children,the project has the support of Richard Branson. The first recording is Tubular Bells and it sounds really rather good.
While checking in at the Rick Wakeman site it has a news article about the project trying to get the number 1 chart spot for Christmas. (for the non uk members, for years in the UK number 1 in the hit parade sems to be the winner of the X factor (a talent show run by Simon Cowle))

Actually , I think the best thing about his role is the HONESTY with which he answers the questions about his new hit single!!!!(Same ole' trash being brazenly reused for Xmas!)...but yes, that is a GREAT LINE!!!
