We watch movies to be entertained and I was particularly impressed [although the critics obviously WERE NOT] with Warner's STUNNING 3D presentation of Jupiter Ascending purchased for less than the price of a RBCD during Amazon Prime's recent blow out sales. As previously stated, the combination of LG OLED's 3D technology had reached a level where a lot of 3D movies have the appearance of 4K and Jupiter Ascending is a prime example of excellence where the Wachowski's immense landscapes and set designs take on infinite proportions. IMO, Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis have excellent chemistry and the special effects/CGI are likewise exceptional. And Warner's inclusion of a highly immersive Dolby ATMOS soundtrack is just the 🍒on top. Warner's three disc set includes the 3D B~V, 2D BD~V and a DVD. HIGHLY Recommended.

Thanks for the heads-up I found a copy on Amazon. I saw this streaming yes silly entertainment but saw the potential for great 3D in the visuals.

Do you offer a money back guarantee if I am not satisfied?

If you don't like it Jeffie FILE UNDER JUPITER CONDESCENDING!

It really is an absolute BLAST in 3D...with sonics to match!

Typical: I just picked up Night of the Living Dead finally on BD!
And I just picked up Kino Lorber's recent restoration of Lynch's LOST HIGHWAY.....Also own the Criterion BD~V of NOTLD ...... Bummer that ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, EVE'S BAYOU and Kiyoshi Kurosawa's CURE aren't likewise Native UHD4K...but are, ironically '4K RESTORATIONS!'

Oh Well!

Argh! Always the way. I think I'll be a bit more circumspect with my BD purchases from now on. 4K releases are definitely ramping up.

Eve's Bayou sounds interesting. I'm a sucker for Southern US/bayou/fan boat/alligator/black magic movies.

I only wish the PARAMOUNT PRESENTS series which so far has only released 1 Native UHD4K disc [out of over 30 4K 'remastered' releases] would've opted for a Native UHD4K version of Terrence Matlick's DAYS OF HEAVEN. IMO, such a missed opportunity.

My friend got an LD player in 1983, he bought this LD and we watched it several times (once with some his other friends), just in stereo sound, neither he nor I had access to an additional speaker to set up a Hafler/DynaQuad surround sound system.

I saw 48 Hrs. numerous times on cable, but I was rummaging thru the $5 movie bin at Walmart yesterday and saw/bought this DVD, it has a 5.1 (non-PC) soundtrack in addition to the original Dolby Surround soundtrack, the 5.1 surround sound quality is good for being ~40 years old, a few times, it sounded like sounds were outside my basement instead of part of the movie (I may buy the Blu-ray in one of my bulk purchases [to get above the free shipping threshold]).

I watched The Thing (1982) on 4K last night.

As expected, some of the original monster affects have not aged well, but short of replacement nothing is going to help the claymation appearing monster.
As to the rest of the visuals though, the outdoor scenes are lovely and look so much better than previous versions.
The soundtrack is solid, but it isn't like this movie is an aural assault.

Certainly worth getting when you see if on sale at Amazon or GRUV.
