We could have gotten another Grover Washington Jr. Quad? As well as Sun Ra? 😭
And how 'bout this one Jack?

JOE WALSH -
So What. Command CQD-40017 (QS)
{Rumor has it that this was mixed in quad and presented to the record
company as a quad only release. For some reason they were not
interested. One track from the quad mix was released on "KOSS-
Perspectives/The New Sound of Koss.....A Psycho-Acoustic Odyssey.
KQD-75 (QS)" listed on the anthology/sampler page. This leads us
to believe that it was mixed for quad but never released}

I'm actually not familiar with Joe Walsh, but one look at Wikipedia and I can tell how significant this release is!

This list compiled by Mark Anderson [QUADRAPHONIC DISCOGRAPHY] of QUAD recordings which received a catalogue number BUT WERE NEVER RELEASED might be quite helpful although looking over the list some titles HAVE BEEN released in a digital format in SURROUND over the years

Did we already confirm that these three are a no-go? I may not have read every post.

Or is the gold mining expedition all done now.

EDDIE HARRIS - Sings the Blues - Atlantic QT-1625
LES McCANN - Talk to the People - Atlantic QT-1619
DIONNE WARWICK - Track of the Cat - Warner Bros. BS4-2893

Sadly ....Its a No to Eddie Harris , and a no to Les McCann , see post #154.

My guess: if TEST PRESSINGS of a lot of these rumoured QUADs still exist, then more than a few were indeed remixed into QUAD. Bitches Brew and LIVE EVIL are two examples as both were recently released by SONY Japan in special 7" packaging.

While the album leaves a few things to be desired in my mind, my credit card would not have said no to a quad of Jeff Beck with the Jan Hammer Group Live.

Would also be amenable to SONY Japan releasing this classic as well [and it did exist as a Robbins QUAD reel]

BLOOMFIELD & KOOPER -
Live Adventures Of. Columbia # unknown (SQ) (Q8)
{Unreleased quad reel from the Mike Robbins collection were sold to
collectors, formats are assumed, Sides 1,3 & 4 of the stereo LP}

You bet! The part of my personality that likes things to be part of a series means I’d be thrilled to have a Sony Japan version sitting next to my other Sony Japan Jeff Beck quads.

So I think you are saying that Dionne Warwick is still unknown at this point? Why would you leave out the most potentially (maybe) promising detail of the entire post?
