oohhh, The Sun Always Shines is another classic!
yeah... these guys really good! Remember seeing them on Live 8 and the singer looks like he has not aged at all!!!
I guess they belong in the 2 or 3 hit wonder archives. I have Live 8 and never noticed them. I will do so next time. Thanks.

What constitutes a one-hit-wonder? Is it an act that has only one song that makes the Billboard Top 100? There are a number of acts declared one-hit-wonders that actually have at least one other song that made the top 100:

Add to that the fact that it depends specifically about the country you're referring to: while there is surely a hit song that placed a singer/group on the musical map, chart reaction may differ widely depending on where it was released.
Three examples taken by the posted videos above:

Andrea True Connection: another BIG single in 1978 with "what's your name, what's your number".
We Five: didn't chart at all here.
A-Ha: Take On Me at first release stiffed badly, the second time charted everywhere, following album/singles charted well in various european countries (stay on these roads, the sun always shining... the first ones that comes to mind).

The Blue Nile - Tinstletown in the Rain. Fun fact the subsequent album A Walk Across The Rooftops was released through Hi-Fi specialists Linn as a way to promote their High end Turntable. This Live performance is amazing. In fact their back catalogue needs the Steven Wilson treatment, Atmos mix please.
